Meeting all of your cultural resource needs

At Chrysalis Archaeology we offer comprehensive cultural resource management services - from research to excavation to analysis to results. Chrysalis has managed countless projects and can guide your company in the sometimes complicated Section 106 process and state regulations. Chrysalis has also worked extensively on projects with the presence of human remains. The team is expertly trained on proper excavation and extraction of sensitive materials. All Chrysalis personnel meet or exceed local, state, and federal guidelines for practicing archaeology. Here are some of our services.

Phase IA Sensitivity Study.

A comprehensive archaeological sensitivity assessment is crucial before beginning construction or fieldwork. A complete survey of primary and secondary sources, previous archaeological work, and histories of your site will be synthesized in order to make appropriate recommendations for the Phase IB process.

Phase IB Archaeological Report and Laboratory Work.

After the completion of the Phase IB fieldwork, a Phase IB report will be completed. In the Chrysalis laboratory all project artifacts are cleaned, catalogued, processed, and analyzed for the final report. This report is a complete study of your project and all fieldwork, encompassing archaeological findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
